  • ABOUT

In my early 20s I had started a music career that was moving forward, but not quickly enough. Guided by a questionable manager, I booked small shows and acting gigs. Ill-prepared, I showed up to an audition in New York and was asked to take off my shirt. The part was for a Vegas Showgirl and the other girls were prepared with bikini tops. The guy behind the camera empathized with my predicament and asked me to stay after to read for something else. Maybe this was my break? The read was for a new weight loss pill called Ephedra (since banned from the market!). If I could take the pill and lose at least one pound, then they could legally photoshop before and after pictures. So I was auditioning forr the before picture. THE BEFORE PICTURE, and at that time, I was the skinniest I had ever been. And this was just one day in the life of a performer. At the same time, I began a sales career under my father's guidance, experiencing immediate financial success that made it easy to say goodbye to the entertainment industry.

Although my sales career wasn't my true passion, I focused on the aspects I enjoyed rather than dwelling on the fact that I was living someone else’s plan for me. Deep down, I knew I was pretending in every sales meeting and interview conducted. However, since financial success seemed to define achievement, I saw no reason to change my path.

During those years, I faced health issues that I concealed at work to avoid unfair treatment. Looking back, I realized my body was trying to communicate something to me. Suppressed and constrained, my true self yearned for liberation, resulting in physical and mental strain, including anxiety attacks.

After the birth of my first child, I sought therapy, and my therapist encouraged me to play the piano, even amidst the chaos of a crying baby. Despite always having a piano nearby, I rarely touched it. Music felt incompatible with the persona I had adopted.

I decided to start doing more of the things that made me happy. I re-enrolled in my old karate dojo, which lead to post-class jam sessions that reignited my connection to the music scene. I returned to the stage, singing in a party band and performing weekly gigs. This led me to start writing music again, drawing inspiration from my love for jazz, hip-hop, and Latin beats. I crafted a unique sound infused with personal stories, embracing vulnerability to create impactful and authentic songs. In contrast to my earlier attempts at conforming to pop music's demands, I focused on writing music I genuinely enjoyed. The recognition I received, including the Philadelphia Music Award for Jazz and the John Lennon Songwriting Award, encouraged me to pursue music more seriously.

Despite encountering skeptics and naysayers, the support I received from individuals like you fueled my determination. I realized that taking small steps toward my inspiration could lead to unforeseen paths. While I maintain my sales career, music has taken a prominent place in my life, with sales now playing a supporting role. Whether or not music becomes my sole focus, I find joy in creating and prioritizing music, even during challenging times.

And now, Trivial Pursuit, my music, comes to you after its own transformative journey. Initially, I considered hiring professionals to produce it, but I decided to learn the language of music production myself. Enrolling in a DIY music recording and mixing course empowered me to record and mix my own music. It was mostly created between the hours of 5-7 a.m. when I had no other obligations. Though it took longer than expected, the result is a sound that reflects my vision and is not influenced by anyone else's interpretation. This uniqueness makes it special, and I hope you can feel that when you listen to it.

    DEDICATION:

Music is not music without someone to listen to it, so I dedicate this album to you, my dear listener, who receives, internalizes, and interprets this music in your unique way. And to everyone who has encouraged and supported me in releasing this to the world, especially my amazing partner, Anthony Magoch, my grandparents, who made me promise to never stop singing, and my sons Frank and Tony, who have to listen to me sing even when they don't want to. Thank you!

  • I'm a Good Girl

    I don't have any tattoos

    I'm a Good Girl

    I don't smoke the pot

    I don't drink the booze

    I'm a Good Girl

So why is that so bad

    Why is that so bad

    To you

    To you

To you oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo

    I'm a Good Girl

    I dot my I's and I cross my T's

    I'm a Good Girl

    I watch my Q's and I watch my P's

    I'm a Good Girl

So why is that so bad

    Why is that so bad

    To you

    To you

To you oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo, oo

    I'm a Good Girl

    I don't have tattoos

    I don't smoke the pot

    I don't drink the booze

    I don't pop the pills

    I just pay the bills

    I'm a working girl

    In a material world

    I wake up early

    Don't go to bed late

    But don't be fooled

    By my exterior state

'Cause I can rhyme a rhyme

And I can bust a beat

And I'll make your heart melt

When I turn up the heat

    I don't listen to metal

    And I don't post nude

I won't be sending you pics

    So don't think I'm rude

    I'm prude

But I'm always in the mood

So if you treat me right tonight

    You might just get -

    Scrumdidliumptious

    I'm cookin' up some treats

    I'll make the bed

    And I'll wash the sheets

    'Cause they're gonna get dirty

    They'll get twisted in knots

When we tumble and we rumble

    God, it's gettin' really hot

    I'm a Good Girl

    I'm a Good Girl

    I'm a Good Girl

    I'm a Good Girl

    Yea

    I'm a Good Girl

Daddy said I'm the marrying type

    I'm a Good Girl

    But don't believe the hype

    Cause even good girls

    Can be a little bad

Can we be a little bad

    Tonight

    Tonight

    Tonight

    I'm a Good Girl

  • Welcome to my Garden

    Take a look around

    Anything you want is yours

    I am your playground

Snake on up my Apple Tree

    Slither 'round my limbs

Pluck an Apple from my boughs

    And sing my sordid hymns

You know you want it, too

    What are you gonna do

    Make all your fantasies true

    When you take a bite

    Of my Forbidden Fruit

    Oo oo

    Oo oo

Oo oo oo oo oo oo

    Why the hesitation

    Why you look so scared

    Don't you want a taste

A little nibble if you dare

    You're my Adam, my Adonis

I'm your Athena and your Eve

So come and, come and, come and

    Shake my Apple Tree

    And make some history

You know you want it, too

    What are you gonna do

    Make all your fantasies true

    When you take a bite

    Of my Forbidden Fruit

    Oo oo

    Oo oo

Oo oo oo oo oo oo

    You're my Adam, my Adonis

I'm your Athena and your Eve

So come and, come and, come and

    Shake my Apple Tree

    And make some history

    Oo oo

    Oo oo

Oo oo oo oo oo oo

    Oo oo

    Oo oo

Oo oo oo oo oo oo

  • Is this a Trivial Pursuit,

That's got me hanging onto you? Oh...

    Is this a Trivial Endeavor?

Just take my heart it's now or never...

    I saw you last night.

    My, you were looking fine...

Boy, how I'd like to make you mine...

But we've spun around this board

    One too many times...

    You're playing by the rules

    But my rules are undefined...

    Oh, they're undefined!

    Is this a Trivial Pursuit,

That's got me hanging onto you? Oh...

    Is this a Trivial Endeavor?

Just take my heart it's now or never...

Am I just a game to you,

A game that's only meant for two?

    You're playing with my heart;

I should've known it from the start.

    I figured out your strategy:

    You're slaying me with flattery

    But you're playing with fire

And the stakes keep getting higher.

    Oh, oh, oh!

Trivial Pursuit, yo, I'll give you a Clue

Do you see this Pictionary that I'm drawing you for you?

    It's like scribble Scrabble...

You've got my words all crossed and I'm starting to babble,

'Cause it Boggles my mind, it's got me full of strife

So many questions and no answers in this Game of Life.

On my heart, you've got a Monopoly

And you've got it plotted methodically...

So sink my Battleship and take my Queen

When you check, check, check me, mate, it's making me scream!

Do you Pac-it-in-Man, can you go all night?

Like a Hungry Hungry Hippo will you do me right?

Then climb up my Chute, I'll slide down your Ladder,

My Candyland's better than cookie dough batter

Like a Barrel of Monkeys, we'll be rolling around

I'll have you squirming like a Centipede on the playground...

    Lovers may come

    And lovers they may go...

    Some will break your heart

And some will make it grow...

    Love is just a sport.

You lose some and some you win.

    But I'm a gambling girl,

    So let the games,

    Let the games begin!

    Is this a Trivial Pursuit,

That's got me hanging onto you? Oh...

    Is this a Trivial Endeavor?

Just take my heart it's now or never...

    Is this a Trivial Pursuit

    (Don't say it's trivial)

That's got me hanging onto you? Oh...

Is this is a Trivial Endeavor?

    (Don't say it's trivial)

    Just take my heart

    Just take my heart

    Just take my heart

    it's yours forever...

  • Da da da da da da da

Is it bad that I want you

Is it bad that I need you

Is it bad that I want you to sneak in my room

    and take me away

Is it bad that I want you

Is it bad that I need you

    Want to pin you down

imprint my body into your skin…

But I hate to admit cause the thought makes me sick

That I might fall asleep without tasting your lips

Without feeling the weight of your body on mine

Undulating, pulsating a rhythm in time

    Ahhhh

Da da da da da da da

Da da da da da da da

Da da da da da da da

    Is it bad I already

    Imagined the score

From your hands in my hair

To your breath on my neck

To your belt on my bedroom floor

Is it bad that I’m ready

    Whenever you are

What’s the harm in keeping you warm

As we crash underneath the stars

But I’ll lay here instead without you in my bed

Cause you’re too damn confused to get out of your head

So for never in time will our bodies collide

Dig my nails in your spine, and we’re rumbling toward the

    Ahhhhh

Da da da da da da da

Da da da da da da da

Da da da da da da da

Is it bad that I’m mad at you

    For wanting me, too

    For taunting me, haunting me

    Hunting me, hurting me

Just like I want you to

Just like I want you to

Just like I want you to…

    Ahhhhh

Da da da da da da da

Da da da da da da da

Da da da da da da da

Is it bad that I want you

  • Stop me from falling in love with you

Remember the day that you said we were through

You left my heart black and blue

So I can't fall back in love

Fall back in love, with you

You're playing those trivial games once again

I thought that you said we could only be friends

My life was finally on the mend

Then you turned up the dust of your love

    Once again

    You know I can't resist

The way you, the way you persist

    So don't be surprised

When you cause your own demise

    Cause I can't help, I can't help

    Falling in love again

I know that you're falling in love with me, too

And you think that I haven't a clue

But those feelings inside you can't hide

Maybe it's wrong, maybe it's right

    Who's to decide

So don't stop from falling in love with me now

    I'll love you back

    We'll get through it somehow

Cause though I can't show it

    You'll know it

That I'm falling in love again

Yes, we're falling in love again

Stop me from falling in love again

    With you

  • No one ever wrote a song about me

    Not even half a verse

    I don't deserve a melody

    Yeah

No one ever wrote a song

I said, no one ever wrote a song

No one ever wrote a song

    About me

    Da ba doo ba dee

Da ba dee ba do bah bow

Da ba doo ba dee ba doo bah bow

Bah bah bah bah bah bah bah

Da ba doo ba dee ba doo bah bow

Oh, we are the ones whose songs were never sung

'Cause no one ever wrote a song about us

Not a painting or a poem or graffiti on a bus

See, no one ever wrote a song about us

So, if no one ever wrote a song

    About you

Come and sing it with me, too

Da ba dee ba do bah bow

Da ba doo ba dee ba doo bah bow

Bah bah bah bah bah bah bah

Da ba doo ba dee ba doo bah bow

No one ever wrote a song about me

Don't you think that I deserve a symphony, yea

No one ever wrote a song

I said, no one ever wrote a song

No one ever wrote a song

    About me.

  • I can walk across the room

    You don’t even notice me

What do I have to do

    To be seen

I can buy a new dress

    To try to impress you

    But then you ask me

Why I’m trying so hard, oh,

Guess you didn’t see me crying

    No, no

    And you

    You don’t look at me

    Like you love me, anymore

    And you

    You don’t look at me

    Like you want me, anymore

    And I

    I don’t know what we’re fighting for

    Anymore

    Anymore

You don’t wait up for me

    Like you used to before

And when I sing too loud

    You shut the door

    I want a man, I want a man, I want a man

Who’ll wait up for me all night

    I want a man, I want a man, I want a man

    Who’ll stand up for me

    And fight the fight

    And you

    You don’t look at me

    Like you love me, anymore

    And you

    You don’t look at me

    Like you want me, anymore

    And I

    I don’t know what we’re fighting for

    Anymore

Just you and me, on a trip to Mars
